Black History Is More Than a Month — It’s a Legacy

Black history isn't just something we look back on; it's something we live, build, and pass forward every day. It's not just Black history, it's American history.

This week, I wanted to highlight three pieces that reflect different sides of our story: our history, our money, and our culture.

First, we dig into little-known Black history facts that don't always make it into textbooks. These are the stories that remind us how deep our roots really go and how much has been intentionally left out of the narrative.

Next, we shine a light on Black personal finance bloggers who are changing the conversation around money, wealth, and ownership in our community. Representation matters, especially when it comes to learning how to build and protect what we earn.

Finally, we celebrate culture and tradition with a look at Black Greek picnics, spaces where history, fellowship, and legacy come together generation after generation. These gatherings are about more than food and fun; they're about connection and pride.

If you have a few minutes, please explore all three. Each one reflects a different chapter of our shared story, and together, they paint a fuller picture of who we are.

Black history didn't start in a book, and it doesn't end with a headline. It lives in our stories, our hustle, and our traditions.
