The Monthly Hustle: February Recap

The Monthly Hustle

March is going kind of fast. I figured I should hurry up and work on this month's update before it's April.

February was a better month than January. Website traffic picked up, and side hustle/business income also grew. Here's how things went.

Side Hustles:

Amazon KDP: No new books were released. You can check out my older books here.

Second Website & Facebook Page: I added a few articles to the site. We also added content to the Facebook page.

I'm considering using ads to grow them. Just in case you're new here, the 2nd site is a project I'm working on with my cousin. We are attempting to grow a website and see if we can sell it. With all that's been going on with Google, this has not been easy.

Other Facebook pages: I'm still slowly adding content to them, but they aren't a priority right now.

Amazon Influencer Program: I currently have 251 videos on there. I want to get to 1000 to see how much I'll make on it monthly. My goal was to have 260 live at the end of February. I failed. I'll try again this month.

Reselling: Reselling has still been up and down. I went to the thrift store once in February. I plan to go at least once or twice this month as well.

YouTube: I now have 2 YouTube channels. I didn't do anything YouTube related in February for either channel. That will change this month. Here is my main channel. Subscribe when you get a chance.

My second channel is for reviews. I cross post my Amazon videos to it. The goal is to see if this channel will grow and eventually get monetized.

I started a Reddit community. It's called My Money Chronicles. I share content and talk about the usual things(side hustles, money, travel, etc) there. I want it to become a place where people can post questions and help others. You can join it here.

I was also featured in my first podcast episode for 2025. It's called Twelve-Minute Convos. You can listen to it here.

Student Loan Debt Update

My current student loan debt is $30,680.78

My private loan = $1970.27

Federal Loans - $28,710.52

Seeing the private loan under $2000 is fantastic. I want to have it paid off by the end of April. Doing that will save me an extra $200 per month!

Refinancing my private student loan was one of the best things I did. If you are thinking about refinancing any of your loans, consider SoFi. They were able to give me a great rate and nice payment options. Learn more about SoFi here.

The monthly hustle is my newsletter, where I share updates from the previous month. If you noticed, I missed February. February 2026 was one of the most annoying months ever. Our apartment flooded, and we were displaced for two weeks. That would be tough for anyone, but adding an 8-month-old to the equation made it even more difficult. Thank God that we had renters' insurance. After a week of cleaning and reorganizing, we are pretty much back to normal. I don't typically share a lot of...

Black history isn't just something we look back on; it's something we live, build, and pass forward every day. It's not just Black history, it's American history. This week, I wanted to highlight three pieces that reflect different sides of our story: our history, our money, and our culture. First, we dig into little-known Black history facts that don't always make it into textbooks. These are the stories that remind us how deep our roots really go and how much has been intentionally left out...
